WoW Addon Review: Reagent Restocker

In this section of the WoWGrrl blog, I talk about various User Interface Addons I have tested out.

As with all World of Warcraft addons in line with the Terms of Service Blizzards puts forward, every single one of the Addons that I'll write about are free to download and install (and remove :) .Wow power leveling

In each article I'll be explaining the use of the addon through personal example, while also weighing strengths and weaknesses.

Some Addons make it onto my regular "basic" list of addons that get installed on a brand new setup - no questions asked - but many addons, while useful, have fundamental flaws that results in my removing them or seeking replacements. I'll be sure to specify those in the "Must Have" addons list.

My hope is that by providing this information players will spend less time searching for Mods and more time playing the game!

Wow power leveling Mod Review: Reagent Restocker
Reagent Restocker is a WoW Interface Addon that is designed to help players automatically retain inventory stocks of not only Reagents, but any purchasable/stackable/storable material.

Its ultimate function is to save time and aggravation when it comes to keeping the little bits and pieces stocked up so they're there when we need them.

Reagent Restocker In Action
of the things I personally restock using Reagent Restocker ... aren't Reagents.

On my leveling and raiding characters I stock mana drinks, bandages, potions and elixirs and buff foods along with class-based materials purchased from vendors (corpse dust, runes of teleportation, candles, etc,Cheap wow gold ,Wow power leveling ).

On my various Professional toons I stock materials needed for daily or weekly Transmutes.

Then when it's time to hop into a dungeon or run a few quests, or burn up a transmute cooldown, I don't have to do any hunting or any searching. I've got what I need, and I can do what I need to do, now.

Reagent Restocker Strengths
Set it and forget it

That is, once you've configured what things you want your toons to regularly restock, you can go about your business and pretty much forget about restocking.

At less until you run out of stores of things like flasks, elixirs, potions and buff foods in your bank, of course ;)

Low System Resources

While convenient, this is not an overly complex Mod and therefore it doesn't use up very much of your system resources. It's still very useful on older computers that choke on big packages like Carbonite.

You could have a billion of little addons like this loaded and it wouldn't slow down your UI ;)

Extra Addon Functions

In addition to re-stocking, you can configure this addon to sell all greys when you visit a vendor, and auto-repair from your funds or guild funds if they're available.

You can even restrict your purchases so you'll only buy from places that you get a reputation discount on the goods (but I've never done that)!

Reagent Restocker Weaknesses
Backing up the data.

As with all WoW Addons(Wow power leveling Cheap wow gold ), once you've set your configurations for each of your characters, it's a bit of a pain to have to re-configure it if you had addon troubles and had to reset your WTF folder (which holds addon configurations).

If you're not comfortable with rooting around in your World of Warcraft/WTF folder in order to find the right LUA file to restore it after resetting the WTF folder, you'll find yourself having to re-configure this addon instead.

Reconfiguring does get easier and quicker each time with familiarity, but it's still a bit of a pain in the ass when this is just one of a bunch of addons you need to re-configure.

Item In Inventory Requirements

When initially configuring your list of things to keep stocked on a toon, you need to have each of the items you want to list, in your inventory already.

If you don't have an item in your inventory, you can't add it to the list.

WoWGrrl's Recommendations For This Addon
This addon definitely makes it onto my "Must Have" addons list, and it's these types of addons that are the reason why I rename (not delete) my WTF folder in order to reset it. I'll dive into my backed up folder to restore configurations for this one.

There are a few things I do right away whenever I'm faced with a configuration of Reagent Restocker:

Configure basics for each toon

Water

Bandages
Ammunition and Class-based Reagents
Activate "Overstock to Bank" and "Stock Items From Bank" features
Visit vendors who sell the above materials, and buy way more stock than I need right now
Visit the bank and let the addon store the extra stocks
From there, I'm ready to go and rarely have to purposely visit a vendor to restock anything.

And when I do visit a vendor that sells what I need and my current stocks are a little low, the materials are auto-purchased, just like they're auto-refilled from the bank stocks when I visit the bank.(Wow power leveling Cheap wow gold )

Summary
For anyone with multiple toons and multiple reagents and materials that need to be stocked on a character all the time, this addon is a huge blessing and time-saver.

No longer will you get to an instance and find out you don't have water, bullets, arrows, buffing reagents or buff food or Flasks or Health/Mana Potions.

This is an addon that helps you be better prepared without much attention from you.
