A New World of Warcraft Pet
A World of Warcraft Pet can make it easier to level up. The Hunter class has the special ability to convert a pet from the wild.
After your pet has reached the sufficient level to learn a new ability, the new ability is first taught to you not directly to your pet. After you have learned a new ability, you can teach it to as many pets as you wish. You learn new abilities from Pet Trainer NPC's and from various beasts. The Pet Trainers can be found in major cities and high level villages.
All pets have the ability to learn new skills and improvements to your pets armor, health and resistance. Other talents can be learned from various beasts. A pets species limits the abilities it can learn. You will need to pick a species that suits your needs. In the beginning each pet has some sort of ability, let's start off with a simple ability like Bite. Your pet may start off with Bite 1 but other beasts in the World of Warcraft know higher ranks of that ability with other skills as well.
You can stable your current pet if it abilities do not suit your needs. After you identify the beast that knows the ability and rank you desire, go and tame it or get a Hunter friend to tame it for you. Once the beast is tame fight a few mobs, and as the new pets ability is triggered you will learn it. You will receive a message that reads "You have learned a new ability". Then if you decide to you can abandon your new pet and get your old one out of the stable. With the pet summoned open your Beast Training window and teach your pet the new ability
